The Hove Dairy is a phased development, with the first phase consisting of the conversion of the original three flint dairy buildings and the construction of a new block to create a mix of nine residential and three commercial units. Phase two will see the addition of ten family homes.

Our initial appointment was to develop a site wide services and energy strategy for the development. Particular consideration was given to improving the fabric of the existing flint structure, which required a sympathetic solution to accommodate the solid walls. Different service strategies were modelled to optimise efficiency as well as satisfying planning condition requirements.

Additionally, we provided full support for building regulation compliance throughout the design and post-construction phases. This included energy performance assessments (SAP/SBEM), EPC certifications, water calculations, and post-construction air and sound testing.
