NuPlanet were appointed by Sigma Homes to prepare an energy and sustainability strategy in support of their successful planning application for 53 new homes in this rural location.

A viable energy strategy was developed in line with both national and local planning policies. By following the Energy Hierarchy we were able to reduce carbon emissions by circa 60% over Part L minimum requirements through fabric efficiency and the adoption of heat pumps and PV.

Working in collaboration with the project team, we prepared a site wide sustainability strategy which addressed health and wellbeing, water consumption, waste management, flood risk, the reduction of pollution, sustainable transport, ecology and the use of sustainable construction materials.

*Calculated for the whole development using Southern Water 2024/25 water tariff.
